Do foreign purchases hurt the aggregate demand curve when the dollar is worth less?
Q. Since the value of a dollar has fallen against other currencies, our goods will be cheaper to foreign countries but still be the same for US citizens. Because of this, foreigners demand more American aggregate output. Will this make the aggregate demand curve move up or down?
Asked by Buster B - Wed Feb 25 15:32:50 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Aggregate Demand consists of Consumption+Investment+Go vernment Spending+Net exports, as you know. When the value of U.S currency goes down, exports will increase as you said, and imports goes down, which means americans will consume more american goods. So, AD curve shifts right.

What is the definition of aggregate user data?
Q. I've been trying to understand some of these online privacy agreements. Most of seem to be on the up and up, except for one term that scares me, "aggregate user data". It sounds like something a politician would say. Extremely vague. In the case of online friends websites, the amount of information entrusted to them increases the scope of "aggregate user data". I did a search and found it to be a very standard term used in most privacy agreements. Much of the time I've found assertions that "we do not link aggregate user data to personally identifiable information." The freinds website does not make that claim. What does it all mean? Though I am interested in knowing what the websites are trying to convey with this word as the first answer… [cont.]

A. Those are elements assembled into a logical format to facilitate comparisons OR to elicit evidence of patterns. Those elements by themselves cannot identify no one in particular but when you link them to others it is possible to identify some people based on their profile. In example you link certain people with certain phrases or way of speaking or writing. Those are element you can put together to find who is the writer or the speaker.

Will the aggregate loan limit ever be extended?
Q. Since 1992, the aggregate maximum loan limit for Stafford loans for undergraduate students has been $23,000 for dependent students, and $46,000 for independent students. I am an independent student. I've been in school on and off over the last several years, and I haven't graduated yet for many reasons. But over those years, tuition has gone up by a few thousand dollars since I first started, but the aggregate maximum amount remains the same. Does anyone think the government will raise the aggregate loan limits anytime soon to keep up with increasing tuition prices? Or does anyone know of any government plans already in place to do so? Also, can anyone tell me if the federal or state governments are doing anything else to offset… [cont.]

A. Grant's have gone up, base limits.. I'm unsure of. Just this past spring (pell) grants were $2020 per semester. Now it's about $2200. Supposedly the Dem's want to work on this issue in the next presidential election.

A. aggregate goals means the total goals count from teams that play each other twice, home & away. this is usually used in the knock-out stage of a competition, such as UEFA Champions' League or UEFA Cup. the team that score the most goals over two matches will progress to the next phase. for example, here's the result of the 2005-2006 UEFA Champions' League knock-out stage: 1st match - Chelsea 1-2 FC Barcelona 2nd match - FC Barcelona 1-1 Chelsea the above results shows FC Barcelona have scored 3 goals & Chelsea scored 2 goals in total over two matches between them. so FC Barcelona won 3-2 on aggregate & progress to the quarter-finals of the 2005-2006 UEFA Champions' League as FC Barcelona scored more goals than Chelsea. here is… [cont.]

What is the relationship between the three views of aggregate supply?
Q. What is the relationship between the three views of aggregate supply? Why do economists tend to focus on the Phillips curve to the exclusion of the other two views?
Asked by Kwan2007 - Sat Dec 8 02:56:20 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. All three views lead to a short-run AS curve that is upward sloping. However, the three views tend to put emphasis on different aspects of the labor and goods markets. With the sticky wage model, there is a market imperfection in the labor market, but the goods market clears. In the sticky price model, there is a market imperfection in the good market, but the labor market is always clearing. In the imperfect information model, both markets clear. The sticky price model seems to explain things better than the other two models. For example, sticky wages leads to wages rising during a recession, when we know the opposite is true. Hope this helps.

A. When you figure the aggregate demand curve, it tells us the equilibrium real GDP at any price level. Also, a rise in the price level causes a decrease in equilibrium GDP.

How do I stop MS Access from adding the "MaxOf" prefix to aggregate fields in queries?
Q. When you set a field in an MS Access query to aggregate via one of the built in functions (Min, Max, etc.), Access changes the name of the field by prepending a "MinOf" or "MaxOf" prefix in the resultant data set. I want to know how to disable this feature and have Access pass the name of my source field without modification.

A. Don't let access attempt to "design and write" your queries for you. Whenever you create a query, right click in the white area where you would add tables, and click...I think it's called SQL view or SQL designer...or query design mode...or something similar, and write your own SQL queries.

Which companies provide aggregate insurance billing services for new health care providers?
Q. I am starting a new mental health care practice. Some customers will pay cash, while others will submit their health insurance cards. In order to accept health insurance, it's my understanding that I will need to establish relationships with Blue Shield, Aetna, and other health insurance companies. Rather than spending hours and hours figuring out how to get and fill out the paperwork needed to establish those relationships, I would rather deal with a single company that intermediates and handles that process. I'm sure there are several companies that provide this type of aggregate health claims processing services, but specific recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Asked by Gretchen - Sun Jun 14 12:14:56 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. You need to call thelm, and apply to each one of them to be an "in network" contracted provider. It's GOING to take hours. You can't hire one company, as each agreement with each health insurer is UNIQUE. You will get paid seperate rates. There are no companies that provide this type of service, to the best of my knowledge, because effectively, you're looking at a contract between YOUR business, and an insurance company - a third party contract wouldn't be BINDING. This is exactly why a provider isn't "in network" with ALL insurance companies in the state.

How does Google aggregate their sports scores?
Q. You know you have googled something that google keeps up to date on when they have their nifty icon and some data sets, like movie times or temperatures or what not, well they have an icon for football too, but the link for the game (e.g. Music City Bowl) just takes you to the website for the game, not any actual live data. So my question is, where does google aggregate their sports data from? I can't find anything on google labs either.

A. They probably gather the data from news syndicators such as A.P. and Reuters, just like many other internet portals do.
